Tips to Reset Your Mindset

I’ve set some audacious goals for myself and now have some serious work to do; both personally and professionally.

Crashing was hard on my mind, body and soul. I still have moments when the trauma shows itself though I can feel the intensity cooling. I’m trusting riders around me more each time I roll; my awareness very much heightened. Embracing the many gifts emerging from this experience.

Resetting your mindset can be a powerful way to gain a new or fresh perspective, overcome challenges and improve your overall wellbeing. Here are a few techniques to try:

~ Practise mindfulness and/or meditation, focusing on the present moment.
~ Challenge your thoughts; what self limiting beliefs are showing up?
~ Set clear goals and create a plan to achieve them.
~ Surround yourself with positive influences; spend time with those who inspire and uplift you.
~ Practice gratitude.
~ Embrace failure, and find the learnings and growth opportunities in the experience. Tap into your resilience.
~ Step out of your comfort zone; this is where the magic happens.
~ Practise self-compassion; be kind to yourself in those difficult moments and celebrate the mini milestones.
~ Focus on your physical health; exercise, time in nature, eat nutritious foods and get lots of rest.
~ Seek professional help when needed to help navigate challenges you may be facing.

Resetting or shifting your mindset takes time and consistent effort. Be patient, and create a routine or new habits to help support your journey.
