Something Beautiful
This last time was no different. I apparently left her with plenty to reflect on after sharing a shift I experienced months ago, and have carried over into other aspects of my life since then.
Along our unique journeys in life, we meet people who are meant to be with us for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
Here’s the morning after musing she shared with me…
“There was one part I’ve been sitting with: the moment you wondered aloud whether your leadership might be a blind spot. You described your dynamic (with said person) through the lens of masculine and feminine energies, almost as if leadership lived at opposite ends of that spectrum.
But, I see your leadership as something far more nuanced. It’s not about polarity. It’s about your ability to step in with clarity and strength when others hesitate. That’s a gift.
What struck me most was the shift you experienced (with said person). For the first time, you didn’t have to lead. He stepped forward, and you, brilliantly, stepped back. That wasn’t about energy roles. That was about safety. Trust. Wisdom.
You recognized that your strength wasn’t needed in that moment, and you allowed yourself to rest in something new. Something beautiful. That’s not weakness - it’s evolution.”
I could not have summarized my ramblings more beautifully.
